General Dentistry

General Dentistry

We offer a range of comprehensive general dental care for all ages, from examinations and cleaning, to tooth coloured fillings, bonding, root canal treatment, extractions and periodontal treatment and maintenance.

If you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable about gaps, missing teeth, dentures that are loose or unexpectedly drop down or you are unable to chew properly, yet you feel you deserve the best today's modern restorative dentistry can provide, dental implants may be the solution.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening can transform ageing, discoloured teeth into a striking smile. You can whiten your smile in the comfort of your own home with take home whitening kits. We take an impression of your teeth to create customised trays, which you can then use nightly for 3 to 4 weeks, gradually whitening your teeth.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry

Central Coast Dental Care's cosmetic dentistry services involve the enhancement and modification of your smile and the function of your teeth. For Porcelain Veneers as well as porcelain crowns, porcelain bridges, gum lifts and teeth whitening, we offer a variety of advanced dental treatments to help make your smile shine.

If you're ready for a smile that transforms your appearance, Invisalign is your answer, allowing you to transform your smile without interfering with your day-to-day life. Please call either our Lisarow or Wyong clinic to make an appointment to see if Invisalign is the right treatment option for you.

On-site Dental Prosthetist

Trauma & Sports Injuries

If a tooth is displaced by trauma or has been knocked out of the socket call us as soon as possible. If the tooth is out of the socket, clean the tooth under running water and place the tooth in milk; there are times when a tooth can be re-implanted and saved if done promptly.

Chipped/Broken Teeth or Lost Filling

If a tooth is broken or a filling is lost call us immediately and we will try to see you before the end of the day.
The tooth may be sensitive to hot, cold, and sweet things. Be careful with what you eat and avoid chewing on this side. It may also be annoying to your tongue. If the tooth is broken in a way that you can see red inside of the tooth from blood or tissue, do not wait, contact us immediately so that you may be taken out of pain.

What to do after a tooth extraction

DO NOT rinse or attempt to clean the extraction area for 24 hours. After that time gentle rinsing with salt water is ok. Gentle brushing of the rest of your teeth is ok.
DO NOT perform any heavy exercise or activity for 24 hours.
DO NOT smoke for 24-48 hours after an extraction as a painful wound healing problem called "dry socket" can occur.
It is common for some minor bleeding to occur after an extraction. If this occurs put a clean gauze pad on the wound and apply pressure for a few minutes. If bleeding is significant and will not stop call the dental surgery or if not possible see your GP or hospital.
Avoid hot foods and drinks for the day after the extraction as this can cause increased pain and bleeding.
